Kidswear is the hardest test of a knitted fabric. Garments get washed twice as often as adult clothing, they are worn until they are outgrown rather than until they wear out, and a parent who finds a pilled surface or a shrunk body after three washes does not buy the brand again. That is why so much of our kids range is built on knitted structure rather than print — a jacquard check or a terry stripe cannot crack or peel because it is the fabric itself.

Safety and compliance sit alongside that. Children's garments have their own requirements: no loose small parts, controlled drawcord lengths, nickel-free and needle-checked trims, and dyes that meet the tighter limits for products intended for babies and young children. We dye with GOTS and OEKO-TEX approved chemistry only, and every garment goes through metal detection before packing.

Sizing is where kids programmes usually go wrong, and it is worth agreeing early. Send us your size chart and grade rules with the tech pack rather than after the first fit sample — it saves a full sampling round and about two weeks.
