Close-up of a textured knitted fabric produced by the Lucky group

Fabric portfolio

We knit the cloth before we cut it.

Pile fabrics are what the Lucky group is known for. Because knitting, dyeing and finishing all sit inside the group, a new construction is a conversation rather than a procurement exercise.

Signature fabrics

Six constructions we make our name on.

01 · Fabric

Knitted terry

Loop-pile knit with a soft, absorbent face. Our signature construction — the one buyers come to Tiruppur for.

Typically used for

Hoodies · rompers · beachwear · robes

02 · Fabric

Velour

Terry sheared to a dense, brushed pile. A rich drape and a deep, even colour take that rewards careful dyeing.

Polar fleece

Double-brushed and anti-pill, warm for its weight. Available in recycled polyester for winter programmes.

05 · Fabric

A honeycomb structure with natural stretch and air. Light in hand, substantial on the body.

Constructions

What our knitting hall can produce.

Single jersey
The everyday base — tees, dresses, linings. 120–200 gsm.
Rib
1×1 and 2×2, plus yarn-dyed stripe rib for henleys and baby sets.
Interlock
Double-face, stable and smooth. Good for prints and baby wear.
French terry
Loop-back sweat fabric — brushed or unbrushed, 240–380 gsm.
Knitted terry
True loop pile, our signature construction for hoodies and rompers.
Velour
Sheared terry with a deep brushed pile and a rich colour take.
Polar fleece & sherpa
Double-brushed, anti-pill, available in recycled polyester.
Jacquard & pointelle
Structure knitted in — checks, florals, waffles, hexagons.

Yarns

What we knit them from.

Cotton
Combed and carded, GOTS-certified organic on request.
Cotton blends
With polyester, viscose or modal for handle and stability.
Recycled polyester
For fleece and outerwear programmes.
Melange & slub
Grindle, melange and slub yarns for texture without print.
Elastane
Added where recovery matters — ribs, leggings, fitted tops.
Yarn-dyed
Stripes and checks knitted from dyed yarn rather than printed.

Dyes & chemicals

Only GOTS and OEKO-TEX approved dyes and chemicals enter the bath. Dosing is automated through an add tank, so recipes repeat lot after lot — and shade continuity holds across a full order.

Processing

Dyed and finished by our own sister concern.

Lucky Process and Lucky Terry Processors handle the group's dyeing and finishing — soft-flow dyeing, stentering and compacting — running on solar power as a Zero Liquid Discharge unit.
