There are thousands of garment units in Tiruppur. What separates them is not price — it is how many stages they actually own.
Tiruppur makes a very large share of India's knitted garment exports, and almost every unit here will quote you a competitive price. The differences that matter show up later — in whether the shade holds across the third shipment, whether the delivery date survives a monsoon week, and whether anyone answers the phone when something goes wrong.
Most Tiruppur exporters are assemblers. They buy greige fabric from one vendor, send it to a dyehouse, collect it, cut it and sew it. Every one of those handoffs is a queue, a margin and somebody else's priority list. When a lot comes back off-shade, the exporter is negotiating with a supplier rather than fixing your problem.
We are on the other side of that line. Founded in 1990 as a dyeing house, the group added knitting, then finishing, then garmenting. Today the yarn arrives at one end of the operation and packed cartons leave the other, all under our own ownership — which is why we can promise a date and keep it.

What "vertically integrated" actually means here
- Around thirty circular knitting machines producing single jersey, rib, interlock, terry, velour, fleece and jacquard.
- Over twelve tonnes of knitted fabric dyed every day on soft-flow machines, including a 500 kg Benninger FabricMaster commissioned in March 2025.
- Stentering and compacting in-house, so shrinkage and width are controlled by us rather than reported to us.
- Cutting, sewing on Juki lines, final inspection and packing in our own garmenting unit at Veerapandi.

Why buyers choose Tiruppur — and what to check
- The cluster advantage is real: yarn, trims, embroidery, printing and testing labs are all within an hour, so development moves quickly.
- The risk is equally real: a lot of capacity is sub-contracted, and the unit that quotes you is often not the unit that makes your garment. Ask who owns the dyehouse, and ask to see it.
- Water and effluent are the constraint that shapes the town. Units that cannot discharge legally lose days. We run zero liquid discharge, so processing does not stop.
- Power is the other constraint. Our operations run on our own offsite solar plant, which steadies both cost and schedule.

What we are good at, and what we are not
- Good at: knitted terry, velour, jacquard pile, fleece and structured knits — the constructions that are difficult to dye and easy to get wrong.
- Good at: kids and baby programmes where compliance and wash durability decide whether a range repeats.
- Good at: buyers who want one point of ownership and one date, rather than the lowest possible unit price.
- Not for: very large volumes of plain white tees at commodity prices. There are units in this town built for that, and we would rather tell you than waste your sampling round.

What buyers ask us first.
Can we visit the factory?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Buyers are welcome at Lucky Garden any working day, Monday to Saturday. If you cannot travel, we will walk you through the plant on a video call instead.
Do you sub-contract production?
Knitting, dyeing, finishing, cutting, sewing, checking and packing are all done within the group. Specialist operations such as embroidery or certain print techniques may be done by long-standing partners in Tiruppur, and we will tell you which ones before you place the order.
What are your lead times?
For a repeat style on an existing fabric, typically 45–60 days from order confirmation. A new development that needs fabric knitted and dyed from scratch takes longer, and we will give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.
What is the nearest port and airport?
Coimbatore airport is about 50 km away and Tuticorin and Chennai are the usual ports. We handle export documentation in-house.
