Jacquard knitting means individual needles are selected pattern by pattern as the fabric is formed, so the design is built from the loops themselves. On a terry base that produces raised and flat areas — checks, florals, hexagons, waffles, dots — with real depth and shadow. Held at arm's length it reads as texture; up close it reads as craft.

The commercial argument is durability. A print sits on top of a garment and degrades with every wash; a knitted structure degrades only when the fabric does. For kidswear and baby programmes, where garments are washed hard and often, that difference shows up in returns.

Developing a new jacquard is a matter of a pattern file and machine time, both of which are ours. Repeat size is limited by machine gauge and cylinder diameter — we will tell you honestly what is achievable before you design around it.
